Our new Rite of Passage Camp is specially designed for students in Years 9 to 11, guiding them through one of life’s most important transitions: adolescence to adulthood.

Set in the heart of nature, this unique program helps teens build resilience, discover their identity, and develop essential life skills through meaningful challenges, guided reflection, and shared experiences.

It’s a safe yet powerful journey that encourages personal growth, strengthens peer connections, and equips young people with the confidence and tools they need for the road ahead.

Y Camping provides all equipment, camp facilities, and resources, and works in close partnership with schools to support the transformative 24-hour solo experience and help achieve meaningful outcomes.

Who can book Rite of Passage Camp?

Rite of Passage Camp is designed for students from Grade 9 – Grade 11. This school camp program is an ideal way for secondary school students to step out of their comfort zone, develop self-reliance, and grow as individuals, all within a structured, supportive environment.

What to expect in this school camp program?

24 Hour Solo Camp

Students spend one night camping solo in a tent (under supervision), learning life skills, developing independence, and gaining confidence in a supportive outdoor setting.

One Night in a Cabin

Students can relax and reflect in a cozy cabin, giving them a chance to unwind, share experiences, and bond with their peers.

Time for Reflection

Throughout the program, dedicated time will be provided for students to reflect on their experiences, gain insights into their personal growth, and appreciate the challenges they overcame.

Engaging Activities

Students will participate in a variety of fun, educational activities that focus on leadership, outdoor skills, and teamwork.
